- Shelly Days 2023 a great success
SHELLY, MN—Shelly Days 2023 was another great success! The volunteers that organized the event were pleased with the weather, the turnout and the lineup of successful events. There was a parade and lots more Saturday. One of the big events was the “Water Wars,” pitting the fire departments from Shelly, Halstad and Hendrum against each other. Shelly Days also featured lawnmower races, bingo, a cash raffle and gun raffle, a pulled pork dinner and street dance and karaoke on Saturday. Then on Sunday, there was a community worship service at 11am at the City Park, followed by lunch from Noon to 2pm.

- City of Shelly Building New Website
The City of Shelly City Council is contracting with a local company, Compass Business Consulting, to build our new website. By integrating content for residents, visitors and to fulfill the needs of city government, the website will be a tool for many. The consultant began the website process by first working through a strategy session around a new city logo. The previously used logo, while a strong symbol in the community, was not easy to use in many applications. The council wanted to build a strong new logo that inhibits the history and culture of the community while portraying the community as welcoming and inviting to new residents and visitors. We look forwarding to launching the website by mid-March with a community reveal of the logo and website for all to see.
